We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Barista with a passion for exceptional coffee service to join our team at Toremade School in Guildford.

Located in the vibrant town of Guildford, this renowned school serve has an emphasis on quality dining and hospitality. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, during term time only, offering an excellent work-life balance.

Job Description

Barista Responsibilities

  • Prepare and Serve Beverages and Snacks: Create and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as light snacks, in line with established recipes and customer preferences.

  • Maintain Cleanliness of Service Areas: Keep the coffee station and front-of-house areas clean and organized, including arranging cups, utensils, and other items.

  • Follow Food Safety Protocols: Adhere to proper food and drink handling and storage procedures to ensure quality and prevent contamination.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor coffee, milk, syrups, and other inventory levels, informing management of any shortages or discrepancies.

  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff, ensuring a positive experience and addressing any dietary concerns.

  • Participate in Training: Engage in training sessions focused on food service, beverage preparation, safety protocols, and customer service standards to maintain high service quality.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about coffee service and who enjoys engaging with a school community.

  • Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
