Business Development Manager – Home Based
Due to significant growth the position of Business Development Manager has become available to join our successful Water Sector team.
We continue to increase our presence across the sector, partnering with UK water companies to deliver their strategic capital delivery programmes and major projects. We have recently secured long-term collaborative programmes with United Utilities , Northumbrian Water and Southern Water in addition to extensions with Severn Trent Water to deliver strategic infrastructure programmes for their respective AMP8 investment cycles. We are seeking candidates at a pivotal time in the water sector who want to be part of shaping the future of the industry.
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a central role in developing engineering, consultancy and digital offerings to meet the strategic needs of our water company clients. The BDM will establish excellent relationships with clients across the UK which will underpin the successful delivery of our business plan sales targets. The purpose of the role is to identify, develop and drive customer relationships and a strategic opportunity pipeline to ensure long-term success.
This is a home-based role with regular travel to Costain, Client and Partner offices

This position has a competitive salary dependent on skills and experience, in addition to a fantastic benefits package including pension contribution matched up to 10%.

Role Requirements
• Strong networker who actively builds rapport and communicates effectively across the team
• Experience and understanding of the water and/or utilities industry (desirable)
• Demonstrable and proven organisational skills and project management capability
• Adept analytical skills to enable effective development of understanding and insight of complex data
• Technical background in intensive capital delivery environments including major consultancy, design and/or construct programmes
• Experience of leading and/or managing successful bid campaigns in an infrastructure environment
• Creative and able to influence/develop new concepts and value propositions
• Experienced in leading and/or managing multi-disciplined teams
• Relevant degree level qualification
