Chef de Partie – Harrogate, England

Company Description

Are you an experienced Chef de Partie, looking for an excellent work/ life balance? We offer early/ day shifts only, and every second weekend off.

We need an exceptional individual to support our Exec/ Head Chef and team of professional chefs in this busy school.

You will work for Holroyd Howe at Ashville College, Harrogate. We serve fresh, from scratch lunch menus to c 900 pupils, teachers and staff from Mon – Fri, with a small boarders’ breakfast, supper and Saturday service, and some hospitality.

You will work 40 hours per week on a 2 week rotation: 

Week 1, Tuesday – Saturday 8.30am-5pm. Week 2, Monday – Friday 6am-2.30pm. Closed on Sunday. Salary is £26,600 per annum.

Ashville College is easily accessible by car, bus or train from Harrogate and Leeds. We provide free parking, uniform, meal on duty, free family sports centre membership and a guaranteed week-long Christmas holiday!



Job Description

Plan, prepare and cook fresh food menus, from scratch as directed by the Head Chef.

Comply with all Food Safety, Health & Safety legislation, undertaking company training as required.

Assist in delivering a prompt, appealing and delicious daily meal service.



Qualifications

Must already be resident in the UK. Must have the proven right to work in the UK. Must have the ability to pass an enhanced DBS check.

3+ years successful progression in a professional kitchen.

A real interest in working with fresh foods, innovative menus and future food trends.

Although not essential, contract catering experience, especially in a school environment is desirable.
