Job Introduction

In a Nutshell

We are actively seeking a 1 year Food & Beverage Placement. During a Food and Beverage rotation, you will move between all of our outlets within the Hotel, including our Restaurants, the Bar and Conference & Banqueting. In each area you will be undertaking general food and beverage duties, below is a brief explanation on each area and what you can expect to experience.

Role Responsibility

Bar and Restaurants 

This department consists of The Fork Restaurant providing an elegant restaurant for dinner whereas the Polo Bar, Lounge and Terrace has a more informal food offering which also includes our beautiful afternoon teas. 

Your time in the Restaurants, Bar Lounge and Terrace will see you work in all of these key areas, developing high levels of product knowledge in food and beverage, and exceptional service standards.

Conference & Banqueting

The C&B department is home to our 9 meeting rooms, used for a variety of spectacular events from weddings to conferences, baby showers to corporate meetings and internal meetings to full exclusive use events. You will get experience of the full range of events, including how to set up and prepare for them, as well as working them. There will be elements of food and beverage service for the banquet side of the department including plated service, snake service, champagne and canapé receptions. For the conference side of the business there will be coffee stations, break out food and buffets, setting up of audio visual equipment and so on.

The Ideal Candidate

Are you right for us?

Our successful Food & Beverage Placement student will be/ have;

  • Currently studying a relevant degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management (No graduate applications at this time)
  • A passion for pleasing to ensure our guests has a happy experience.
  • Previous experience as a Food and Beverage Assistant / Waiter/ess (preferable but not essential)
  • An interest, and appreciation for Food & Beverage
  • Confident communicator – important to liaise with your guests and your other team members.
