FP&A Manager         

Salary – Up to £55,000 FTE

6 month FTC

FT – 35 hours per week

Hybrid – Home & Hub (London or Kent)

As our FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of all financial reporting, planning and analysis in accordance with both internal and external reporting guidelines and requirements. You should be organised and methodical, with an ability to plan and deliver on multiple competing priorities. You are confident and, able to challenge when necessary, you are known for your integrity and ability to communicate efficiently and effectively at all levels.

Role Responsibility

As our FP&A Manager in Insurance, you will be responsible for organising and delivering the insurance regular reporting deliverables.

Your accountabilities will include: 

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts for the Insurance entities including preparation of analysis and commentary in relation to P&L, cash flow and KPI’s for internal stakeholders.
  • Providing appropriate challenge and support to the commercial teams in order to deliver bi-monthly forecasts and 5-year plan projections which are challenging yet achievable.
  • Supporting the FP&A Business Partners with the planning and budgeting cycle for all Insurance entities.
  • Insurance broking cashflow forecasting.
  • Continuous design and improvement of existing financial planning processes to satisfy business requirements and support commercial decision making.
  • Supporting system development, implementation and change to deliver process improvement and enhanced management reporting.
  • Documentation of all FP&A systems and processes to minimise key man dependencies and enable cross-skilling of the team.
  • Coaching and developing other team members, leading by example and providing motivation within both FP&A and the wider Finance team.

 

The Ideal Candidate

As our FP&A Manager you will be a Part-qualified Accountant, with demonstrated reporting and commercial FP&A experience within the Insurance industry.

 

Other skills and experience required include:

  • An Empathetic team player willing to help others to meet common goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with a range of colleagues at varying levels of seniority.
  • Extreme attention to detail, with the ability to review (both themselves and peers) and feedback accordingly.
  • Able to quickly establish credibility, winning the respect and co-operation of colleagues at all levels.
  • Have a passion for process efficiency and establishing a culture of continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.
  • Analytically strong with the ability to challenge and think outside the box.
  • Possess an inquisitive mind and be able to identify anomalies or inconsistencies and pursue these through to a resolution.
  • Able to work autonomously without constant oversight.
  • Relish the challenge of working to tight deadlines and during periods of pressure.
