We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Front of House Hospitality and Events Manager to lead and manage all front-of-house duties and catering staff, working collaboratively with our Harlaxton events team. Ensure that events are conducted smoothly and functions are set up and executed according to standards and expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead the Show:
- Take charge of all hospitality functions at Harlaxton, from setup to execution and closing down.
- Be the face of our events, ensuring every detail is perfect from start to finish.
Team Dynamo:
- Lead by example, stepping in wherever needed to support your team.
- Manage communications with the Harlaxton events team, wedding planning, and client meetings, representing Holroyd Howe’s high standards.
Event Maestro:
- Oversee events of all kinds, managing the front of house team, rota planning, and training to maintain our exceptional standards.
- Ensure client service is always a top priority, acting as the go-to person for event handovers and providing stellar service.
Operational Guru:
- Maintain a professional approach at all times, managing stocks, ordering, finances, and POS systems related to events.
- Stay updated on food and industry trends, incorporating new service styles and concepts into our offerings.
Documentation Pro:
- Handle all event chargebacks monthly for GM processing.
- Ensure team timesheets are completed and submitted weekly.
Recruitment & Training:
- Assist the General Manager in recruitment and selection to meet location and company needs.
- Assess employee performance, identify training needs, and ensure training aligns with company policies.
Performance & Development:
- Conduct timely and accurate appraisals, maintaining development plans.
- Hold regular team meetings to communicate targets, standards, and important information.
Health & Safety:
- Ensure all employees are aware of and adhere to Health and Safety policies.
- Provide regular Health, Hygiene, and Safety training.
Motivation & Support:
- Empower, support, and encourage your team, maintaining an open-door policy.
- Lead team briefings before each service, keeping personnel files up to date.
Customer Focus:
- Work closely with the Events team, wedding coordinator, and management.
- Ensure customers receive prompt and efficient service, consistently exceeding their expectations.
Visibility & Approachability:
- Be visible during service periods, approachable, and proactive in fulfilling customer needs.
- Maintain clean and fully stocked service areas.
Wedding/Conference/Event Service:
- Lead front of house service, room, and bar setup.
- Manage staff rotas and provide Master of Ceremony services when needed.
Coordination & Documentation:
- Liaise with the events team to ensure top-notch service throughout the day.
- Ensure clients and goods are checked in and out with correct documentation and complete full closure of events.
People Management:

- Treat and lead your team members as you would expect to be treated.
- Ensure company policies are adhered to and carry out kitchen/service duties as needed.
Health & Safety, Food Safety, & Environment:
Training & Compliance:
- Attend required training courses and follow cleaning schedules rigorously.
- Ensure all health and safety policies are observed and adhered to.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Front of House Hospitality & Events Manager in a high-volume, quality-focused environment.
- You can demonstrate that managing, training, and supporting a team has been an important part of your career to date.
- Financially astute, you are very analytical and know how to create and maintain budgets and drive commercial performance.
- Excellent coaching, delegation and influencing skills.
- Ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, creative environment and able to thrive under pressure.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise responsibilities, and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous organisational abilities and a high attention to detail
