Term Time plus 5 days 

£13.15 per hour

The position is working 40 hours per weeks .

The essential ingredient at the heart of our business is our people so we are searching for an experienced Hospitality & General Assistant  with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our highly prestigious education settings.

Job Description

As an Hospitality& General  Assistant you would be working closely with the Catering Manager based on site in one of our iconic venues, supporting the operations team, talented chefs to deliver flawless service and exceptional food and drinks.

The Hospitality & General Assistant will build strong relationships with their clients, understanding a brief and executing every detail with continuous quality and a human touch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play an integral role in the successful delivery of events across the site
  • To monitor daily, the standards achieved in your department and report to your line managers any areas of concerns.
  • To liaise with key people in all necessary areas (kitchen, events, reception, etc.) of the business to ensure the provision of food and service is consistent and in line with menu/standards pre-agreed.
  • To meet clients on arrival making sure that the event is as they require and ensuring that any on the day changes are passed on to the relevant people where necessary
  • To carry out regular checks of the events areas for maintenance, housekeeping and other health and safety issues. Report to the line manager.
  • To assist with lunch service preparations and service
  • To ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service and expectations are consistently exceeded.
  • To be customer focused at all times, by being visible during service periods, approachable and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling customer needs.
  • To project a willing and helpful attitude to customers; to seek the appropriate knowledge of food items served throughout catering areas and to keep areas and service counters clean and fully stocked.

 

 



Qualifications

  • Ideally have experience working within Education catering
  • Experience working events 
  • Have good Health & Safety knowledge
  • Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused
  • Fun and enthusiastic
  • Have excellent organization skills
  • Demonstrate great attention to detail
  • Be a team player, and enjoy succeeding as a team
  • Possess great customer service skills
  • Have a flexible approach to work
