In this role you will be responsible for the management and delivery of all Soft FM services within the Warrant Officers and Senior Rates Mess in line with contractual obligations and company expectations, including but not limited to health & safety, accommodation management, food & beverage provision, general cleaning and housekeeping, function and events management and full budget and accounting responsibility. You will need to ensure full compliance at all times to the company and contractual guidelines avoiding any service KPI failures.

This is an opportunity to work within a very busy military environment, leading a team of 5 direct reports covering, accounts, food & beverage and accommodation. 

  • To proactively up sell and demonstrate an excellent knowledge of products provided to customers and clients
  • Ensure that all relevant paperwork is obtained and completed as laid down by the contractual/business guidelines
  • Produce a monthly/4 weekly roster whilst adhering to the labour budget assigned
  • Ensure accurate mess billing/invoicing is provided to the client within the bounds of the contractual expectations
  • Conduct investigatory, disciplinary and grievance hearings in line with Compass Policy & Procedures
  • Manage all labour costs effectively and within the designated budget
  • Conduct weekly team meetings and provide essential business information/updates to your staff

We are seeking an individual with the following skills;

·         Proven experience in managing successful teams in a similar environment

·         NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2

·         Basic Food Hygiene certificate

·         Experience of leading and managing a small to medium team of people

·         Minimum 2 years catering experience

·         Excellent financial acumen and experience of managing a P&L

·         I.T literate
