Overview

International PMO
101 Wood Lane, London, W12 7FW

Company Description

Our Pfizer International (ex-US) account is headquartered in London and is a bespoke global operation within the Publicis Groupe network, single-minded in the mission to accelerate Pfizer’s transformation to revolutionise how Pharma connects and engages with their consumers and HCPs – with an ambition of being viewed as a global marketing leader, not just in pharma.

We have built this team drawing from the best talent across the Groupe to deliver cutting-edge expertise and diverse skills, acting as one integrated end-to-end operational model to serve advertising, marketing, production, digital experience, media, data intelligence, analytics, web, and social commerce- all supported by the scientific rigor pharma needs to deliver personalisation at scale in a compliant way.

Pfizer is pioneering the marketing model of the future, and we recognise that our success is intertwined with the success of Pfizer’s transformation and the growth of their brands.

Job Description

We are looking for PMO who will work closely with project managers and Integrated Agency Teams in each of the local markets to establish project governance, a framework to ensure a structured delivery approach, and alignment end-to-end – from financial feasibility and planning through to execution of all projects.

The foremost priority is to support the global transition by establishing clear processes and connections with local markets, reporting and visibility of transition status, risks and issues management, and a clear and consistent approach with Global and US teams.

The Role

The PMO will be responsible to work in tandem with the US/Global PMO to centralise information consistently, ultimately enabling ex-US agency teams, clients and stakeholders to have timely transparency to information to make solid decisions. You will form strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders to ensure processes and frameworks are supportive of the strategic planning, financial analysis, and business process.

As the PMO you will be responsible for leading and supporting in-market programme management teams with the full range of project management activities across the campaign lifecycle.

You will be working closely with these project managers to coordinate and facilitate the flow of projects across the markets and market clusters – process and instilling rigour is your day-to-day, alongside building relationships and connectivity across client and agency stakeholders alike.

This role requires an individual with strong communication skills and first-hand experience of taking charge of the delivery of similar highly innovative, multi-disciplined projects. Critical to success for this role is being comfortable with ambiguity and supporting the smooth transition and then the establishing of the scope and delivery in a way that is ‘built to last’. Whilst on a significant scale there will be a ‘start-up’ mentality whereby you will be at the cornerstone of change management, guiding and governing an evolving and maturing Pfizer business model, you will be comfortable as a self-starter to just ‘get on and do what needs to be done’.

This is a unique opportunity to not only prove the end-to-end model to our clients and Publicis teams alike, but also define a key role and processes for future Publicis Groupe Power of One Clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure successful implementation of the PMO’s strategy, responsibilities, services, and deliverables across multiple markets
  • Build cohesive yet simple processes and teams across the delivery function globally
  • Develop and implement project controls and governance without adding burden
  • Proactively identify potential snags (e.g., misinterpretation, lack of clarity) and pre-empt them
  •  Forecast potential overruns before they occur and mitigate, escalate, and resolve as quickly as they are identified
  • Ensure timely and accurate sharing of information
  • Know and understand the client’s organisation and processes to ultimately become a champion of the client’s business
  • Milestone setting and OKR/Initiatives definition

Qualifications

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years delivery experience with full project lifecycle in a marketing, communications agency, or consultancy environment – with a proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects to time, budget, and quality
  • Commercial acumen and financial literacy – with the ability to create, track and monitor projects, burn rates and financial progress
  •  Professional at all times – we value rigour, structured thinking, pragmatism and common sense in equal measures
  • An ability to work under pressure, prioritise, multitask, and manage processes from start to finish is critical for this role
  • Ability to forecast and monitor resource requirements across your projects, adjusting as necessary and work with the resource team to proactively manage the effective and timely delivery of client work
  • Strong team playing skills and an ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups
  • Ability to manage time tracking ad resources, and operate change control management where necessary
  • Ability to establish RACI, operating models, and ensure that the project is kept on track and on time
  • Ability to effectively highlight and manage Risks and Impediments
  • A mindset oriented toward continuous improvement – striving to improve delivery practices, processes and adapting ways of working
  • Solid English communications skills

Desirable Requirements

  • An understanding of media, data, production, and digital marketing (processes, roles, vocabulary) will ease your interactions across the business
  • Ideally you will have delivery qualifications (e.g., related to Agile or Waterfall approaches) or equivalent on-the-job training
  • Pharma experience would be advantageous
