Children’s Physiotherapist – must be HCPC registered

Salary/Rate: £18.14 – £23.14/hour

Minimum 22.5 hours, Term time only working (39 weeks).

Actual salary £18,304 – 23,221  (dependent on hours and level of experience).

Ingfield Manor School – West Sussex, is a day and weekly boarding school for students aged 3-19 with neuro-motor impairments, such as Cerebral Palsy, in addition to a bespoke curriculum supporting speech, commination and language needs.  Our school is an exciting and rewarding place to work with excellent resources, including a multi-sensory room and high specification mobility equipment.  Clinical supervision, training and CPD opportunities are ongoing.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Physiotherapist to work as part of a transdisciplinary team, with a group of students within all year groups. You will need to demonstrate experience and/or knowledge in one or more of the following areas: postural management and specialist equipment, orthotics, orthopaedic surgery, tone management including therapeutic handling, working with children or young people with a neurological impairment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To implement group and individual independence programmes in collaboration with the other professionals and to be involved in associated planning and preparation and share their expertise and knowledge.
  • To be a member of a team of staff meeting all the pupils’ needs
  • To contribute to the development of the overall programme of the group.
  • To be responsible for the integration of the school’s strategy for promoting function and independence; to enable pupils to access the whole curriculum, including oversight of related equipment.
  • To take a key role in the assessment and implementation of seating solutions.
  • To support in the assessing and planning of access routes to technology (switching, etc.).
  • To write reports
  • To contribute at Reviews and other relevant meetings and to liaise with parents/guardians and external medical services where necessary.
  • To provide good standards of physical and emotional care.
