Product Inspector I – Northlake

We are currently seeking an exceptional customer service professional to join us as a Supplier Quality Lead.
As the leading supply chain solutions business in the aerospace industry Customers are at the heart of our business.
As a Supplier Quality Lead you will provide Quality leadership and expertise to our suppliers. We are looking for dynamic individuals with a positive approach but also people in possession of relevant, technical knowledge. Duties will include:
- Manage regional suppliers for non-conformance management.
- Support supplier quality corrections and NOE.
- Evaluate the suppliers improvement plans for suitability.
- Coach suppliers in complying with relevant requirements including customer requirements and external standards
- Ensure suppliers self-lead improvement and engage appropriate internal and external resources to achieve required levels of maturity
- Conduct product audits and process walks and engage the supplier in lasting actions
- Govern the progress of improvements to deliver the required pace of change
- Contribute to sourcing decisions by performing pre-selection assessments
- Review the robustness of PI/NPI to ensure the correct standard enters production with a Zero Defects process.

ABOUT YOU
- Degree (equivalent) qualified with a recognised professional qualification in Engineering or Quality.
- 3 to 5 years technical experience.
- Clear understanding of industry standards such as AS9100 and ISO9001.
- Experience in the aerospace/aviation sector or similar (electrical, defence, chemical, pharmaceutical)
- Demonstrated levels of leadership and influence
- Ability to build rapport with suppliers
- Strong influencing skills
- Possess a 'prevention' mindset
- Experience in Six sigma methodology
- Experience in 8D problem solving
Holds a valid driving licence and is willing to travel as part of the role (up to 80%)
