Job Description
This role will work on Essity, a global Hygiene and Health company. They are “Dedicated to improving well-being through leading hygiene and health solutions”. They have a stronghold in Europe with the Americas and Asia accelerating.
They are mostly present across Feminine and Incontinence Care, Kitchen and Toilet hygiene across both B2C and B2B.
They believe in brand building and as such have developed purpose-led campaigns, which take a stand, i.e. Viva La Vulva in 2019 or Periodsomnia 2023 (award-winning campaigns), celebrating women’s intimate V zone.
They also have a strong focus on sustainability, which is a key pillar of each brand’s marketing strategy.
We have been partnering with them since 2013 and the partnership keeps on growing. We do not stand still and always look to evolve / improve / innovate.
As of October 2024, we are commencing our digital biddable transition from local markets into Zenith International. A dedicated Engine team across the Digital Hub (activation), TAAG, Data & Tech, and Digital Strategy (Centre of Excellence) will be setup to drive excellence and advancement in digital strategy, planning, and activation across the Essity business.
The Programmatic Manager will form part of a team of four in London and take responsibility for central account management and media planning, working closely with local market teams while also overseeing and working extremely closely with an activation team based in India.
This role provides a unique opportunity to own and plan dynamic programmatic campaigns across a wide variety of mediums including Display, Video, Connected TV and DOOH. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment and get the opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of operations, inspire and lead a small offshore team and learn from a wider growing agency team with leading data driven clients.
You will be supported by an Associate Director above, including an Executive and a Senior Executive below. The position reports into the Global Programmatic Associate Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end account management for your client which includes relationship management, media planning, operations, team management, finance, and reporting. This will include:
- Own and manage the day-to-day relationship with key local agency stakeholders including the direct client and the central client services.
- Manage expectations for all aspects of the campaign lifecycle with the client and client services team, from planning through to reporting.
- Be the programmatic expert for the client on campaign performance and optimisation, providing insights into the best strategies and tactics to achieve the client’s business objectives.
- Build and own programmatic strategy, taking lead for programmatic media planning including media partner/owner briefing and response to briefs.
- Build and own a test and learn roadmap for your assigned brands.
- Lead weekly internal and external programmatic/campaign status meetings, covering performance, pacing, key priorities and any other areas.
- Coordinate campaign requirements such as assets and tags to ensure timely campaign setup by the activation team.
- Support the Director in maintaining key team resources and the Essity Programmatic Playbook, including other account/planning resources such as Rate Cards, Vendor Contact Lists etc.
- Own and oversee the timely delivery of campaign reporting cycle including weekly reports and PCAs, working closely with the activation team to ensure data integrity, well-written campaign insights and optimisation commentary.
- Own and oversee the finance process, ensuring accurate and timely booking, reconciliation and issue resolution.
- Inspire, lead and indirectly manage the offshore activation team, ensuring a strong one-team ethos and deep activation team understanding of account deliverables, media plans, strategy and any other requirements.
- Understand and effectively communicate the Zenith International Programmatic proposition, technology and processes as related to the current and prospective agency accounts for which you are responsible.
- Contribute towards the wider Zenith International Programmatic Team’s development and initiatives. This will include:
- Identify, create and present case studies showing good work innovative solutions from your account with the wider team.
- Proactively Involve yourself in wider team projects and initiatives such as cookieless, channel diversification, measurement and/or automation working groups.
- Organise Breakfast & Learn Sessions with relevant media owners and technology partners to benefit the wider team.
- Build and contribute towards training material and best practice documentation to cascade down to more junior members of the wider team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience within programmatic
- Extensive media planning and RTB preparation experience is a must have
- People management experience – Minimum 1-2 years
- Previous experience working directly with clients is preferred
- Highly Self-driven, results-oriented, solutions-focused with a positive outlook
- Proficient in major DSPs (i.e. Google’s DV360, Amazon AAP, The Trade Desk) and extensive knowledge of the RTB and wider programmatic landscape
- Effective at people management and compliant with following policies and practices in line with the talent team. Good knowledge around recruitment, performance management best practice, motivation, development plans and issue resolutions
- Advanced presentation skills
- Advanced communication and writing skills – working across the team, within the wider agency, with clients and media owners
- Strong analytical thinking and mathematical skills (knowledge)
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Consistently over-delivering on client objectives
- The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; working under pressure and prioritise workload
- Excellent project management skills to prioritise tasks on these busy accounts
- Be confident working with numbers and large amounts of data
- Be able to adhere to processes and best practices
- Highly organized and capable of working independently
