Salutem Supported Living Cornwall is recruiting!! We are transforming a complex and unique Supported Living Service in Liskeard, that requires strong and experienced leadership where you’ll be joining an excellent, outcome focussed team that is dedicated to improving the lives of the people we support.
As the Supported Living Registered Locality Manager for our Liskeard service, you’ll be based from the service throughout the transformation, to spend quality time with the people we support and make sure their support is as it should be. Working alongside team members to provide exceptional leadership, quality oversight, and coaching / mentoring to further develop the local support team. Being present and an accessible leader, you will lead by example and enjoy getting involved in all aspects of service delivery and support.
There will be visits (both in person and virtually) to our central support office in Windsor for team meetings and Training opportunities as part of our Excellence Programme Leadership Development Pathway, and travel between the registered offices in Plymouth and Camborne (Travel allowance and mileage paid).
On successful completion of the transformation project, the role may become multi-site as we develop future supported living options across the county, so you will have a drive and eagerness for growth and a proven track record of multi-site management, your salary and benefits will increase as a result of this. You’ll be supported to be successful in your role with a healthy structure of Team Leaders and Senior Support Workers as well as a designated Quality Manager, all in post to support you as registered manager to lead the location safely and effectively.
Responsibilities:
Successfully register with CQC as the registered manager for the service.
Effectively manage relationships with the people we support, their circle of support and with professional colleagues and stakeholders. Work closely with social housing landlords to advocate on behalf of tenants where required regarding maintenance requirements, building strong and productive relationships.
Provide reports and updates to the Regional Director, Divisional Director for Supported Living and other central teams on the regions performance and development.
Effectively manage the team through coaching, mentorship and development to inspire, and motivate, dealing effectively with performance issues when they arise. Ensure staff members receive appropriate supervision and training in all aspects of their work and are given help and guidance where appropriate. Promote training and development and maintain up to date records.
To recruit appropriate team members where necessary to ensure a quality service delivery, ensuring that robust rostering is in place.
Take part in an ‘on-call’ rota for emergencies, which may arise within the service, and to cover shifts if all other avenues have been exhausted.
Maintain control of the budgetary spend within the location through regular monitoring and review. Monitor and review accident reports, ensuring regulatory bodies are informed of incidents when necessary e.g. Health Authorities/Boards, Environmental/Public Health, safeguarding boards, as well as adhering to internal reporting procedures. Be responsible for infection control management.
Ensure compliance with CQC and the local authority regulatory requirements. Prepare draft response to internal/ external Inspection Reports for approval by responsible Individual prior to issue.
Control the auditing and administration of Medicines within the service and maintain the necessary records as and when required by the regulatory authorities, in line with NICE guidance, STOMP and the legal framework.
