We are currently seeking an exceptional customer service professional to join us as a Senior Systems and Solution Architect
The Sr. Systems and Solutions Architect is a highly technical role that is responsible for managing the development and execution of the Next Generation platform strategy within Wesco. This role will act as the lead architect and technical management liaison with our strategic vendors and our internal leadership teams to support business driven Oracle Applications and processes. Additionally, this role is intended to be a strategic partner cross functionally to drive business solutions through ongoing development of our existing systems.

About you
- Review and analyze current technology infrastructure and its ability to support strategic corporate objectives.
- Identify and propose specific strategies, initiatives and remedies necessary to align technology infrastructure with corporate objectives.
- Support development of business drivers, business case and high-level program implementation plan.
- Translate customer business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements.
- Develop conceptual solution architecture using combination of standard products and third-party suppliers to produce end-to-end customer solution.
- Build and communicate the value proposition of the end-to-end solution to client executives.
- Partner with specific product specialists to identify and collect detailed technical requirements.
- Partner with IT management to build out detailed RFP responses to meet internal customer needs
- Coordinate efforts across support and product specialist organizations to ensure overall integrity and consistency of final proposed solution.
- Design, develop, test, maintain support and document client/server application, data architectures for Enterprise applications supporting the business.
- Build upon service-oriented architectures, webservices and REST API
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in Java development and DevOps to continuously improve our development and operations workflows.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an Information Technology field preferred
Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong programming skills in Java with a minimum of 10 years of experience, including experience with Java 8 or higher.
- Solid understanding of Java core concepts such as multithreading, concurrency, and memory management.
- Experience with Java frameworks and libraries such as Struts Framework, Spring Framework or Apache Camel.
- Experienced with Oracle Database, Apache Tomcat.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms like BWI AWS, Azure and GCP.
- Proficiency in RESTful API development and integration.
- Knowledge of design patterns and best practices in Java software development.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, OpenShift, etc.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Extensive knowledge of the SDLC (particularly Development and Release Management) Experience managing geographically disbursed team developing and deploying.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Able to manage the installation, testing and proving of technical computer hardware and software systems, from conception to end-user satisfaction
- Proven experience in developing Single Page Applications (SPA) using React.
