Description: This exciting position sits within the Transformation Team and will be a pivotal role within the councils refreshed Digital Service.

As our Solution Architect you will provide advice and consultancy at both a strategic and tactical level across the council, to ensure that business and network solutions meet corporate and service objectives, are architecturally aligned, robust and fit for purpose. The Solution Architect will therefore play a central role in Cambridge City Councils ability to successfully implement new technology solutions.

This role will directly report to the Strategic Digital Lead, and the role holder will also be expected to liaise with the councils Enterprise Architect consultant, and with Technical Architect counterparts within 3C ICT, the council’s primary ICT delivery partner.

Cambridge City Council is currently developing a Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) strategy for the Council, which will set out where we want to be in five years and what our business requirements are. The Solution Architect will provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximise the return on technology investment.

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.

Contract: Fixed Term for 1 Year, with the potential to extend

Salary: £49,498 – £53,679 per annum (City Pay Band 8), pro rata for part time.

Location:
Cambridge City Council work in an agile manner and your location can be flexible – working in Cambridge on site or at one of our offices or working from home. You will be able to balance your work location accordingly.
