Could you be a Sense Support Worker?

It's an exciting time as Sense has just released its new strategy, we now have an opportunity for a Waking Night Support Worker to join our service in Deeping St. James  

This is a permanent role, working 36 hours per week.  You will be supporting 5 people in a residential setting and shifys will be 10pm – 7am on a rota basis

It is important that you are able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to enable you to make a difference to people’s lives. We work on a rolling rota so you are able to plan your life accordingly. Sense believes that no-one, no matter how complex their needs and disabilities are should be isolated, left out or unable to fill their potential. This role can be incredibly rewarding.

Your duties can include:

  • To support individuals / groups within the centre and community.
  • To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
  • To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.

Your required skills and experiences:

  • You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker. 
  • Knowledge of multi sensory impairments / learning difficullties is beneficial.
