Overview

We have an exciting role on offer within our Prevention, Provider and Support Services as an Assistant Manager.

About Us

Levick Court, Middlesbrough Council’s purpose built in house short stay break service for adults with learning disabilities, is currently looking for an Assistant manager to join our team.

You would be joining our service during a time of expansion, making this an exciting time to come on board, giving you the chance to help contribute to how we shape our services for current and future individuals who access the service.

Levick Court provides a 24 hour service to users, this could be anything from a short one-night stay or longer stay up to a number of weeks, all depending on the requirements of each individual, their family and/or their carers.

Our building is purpose built, which ensures that we can meet the needs of a wide range of users who access our service.

We have 16 en-suite bedrooms, spacious communal areas (including multi-purpose activity rooms) an impressive sensory room, media room and secure gardens which are available to all those accessing our service.

We are seeking a focussed and motivated individual with a positive attitude, who has experience of managing people, services, and service quality within a learning disability environment and is passionate about promoting person centred care.

To be successful in this role you need to be currently working at a senior level to apply for this role, having experience of management in a care setting.

Due to the nature of the service, you would need to be able to communicate effectively at all levels and have excellent time management, organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.

You will need a good understanding of CQC and Health and Safety legislation.

We are registered with the CQC and are rated Good.

The successful candidate will have a vital role supporting the manager in overseeing administration tasks, whilst also being expected to work ‘on the floor’ with staff and lead the team by example.

In the absence of the Registered Manager you would take responsibility for the day to day running of the service and ensure all policy, procedures and legal requirements are adhered to within the specified time frames.

You will have a responsibility for overseeing and maintain the care of individuals who access our service, working closely with the registered manger to achieve required results.

In return, we can offer you a structured management training portfolio including enhancements for working Sundays and Bank holidays.

If you would like to visit Levick Court before submitting your application, or during the application process in order to meet our team and see some of the services we offer, then please contact the manager who would be happy to meet with you.

If this is you, this may be the opportunity you are looking for!

In return we can offer:

  • Generous leave entitlement with an option to purchase up to 10 additional days annual leave per year.
  • Excellent pension plus top-up options.
