Part of our Environmental social governance strategy (ESG) Asda is dedicated to reducing packaging and waste, meeting customer needs for healthy and sustainable choices, and minimizing our carbon footprint. To support this mission, we are seeking a passionate Zero Waste assistant to join our team. This individual will play an important role in supporting the Zero Waste team to meet zero waste commitments, to ensure compliance to waste policies and procedures and provide admin and data support.
In this role you will be responsible for

Sustainability and admin support for the Zero Waste team, supporting Asda stores and Asda express.

Help drive forward recycling levels to meet circular economy and commercial commitments.

Provide day to day support for store waste and recycling queries and department specific query inboxes.

Support the team with service requests and invoicing.

Provide insight and support for any new waste and recycling legislation to ensure compliance,

Waste and recycling data, store and supplier survey support.

Support redistribution of surplus stock.

Keeping up to date waste and recycling policies and procedures and communicating to stores

Communicate with and support waste suppliers, stores and depots on a daily basis to ensure compliance and service support

Coordinate zero waste activity plan of projects
