What will I be doing as a Social Value Apprentice?

Our Early Careers Development Programme can vary, depending on what step you join us at!

We can fully support you from the beginning of your level 4 undergraduate programme.

Not only will we support you to obtain a professional qualification, but you will gain first class on-the-job experience in your role fully supported by line management and the wider network of skilled colleagues in the business. The Early Careers Development Programme allows you to start your career and get paid as you learn!

A day as a Social Value Apprentice can look like:

Initially supporting our senior social value manager until you become competent in the following areas:

  • Engaging with stakeholders from clients, internal team, local communities etc
  • Creating innovative ways of adding value in those communities beyond the build
  • Collating the evidence of social value outcomes
  • Reporting social value outcomes to our clients
  • Supporting the work winning team
  • Delivering hands on activities in local community groups, such as schools job centres etc

What we can give you!

Your salary will start in line with the national living wage for 2024. (At least £21,250) A benefit of our Early Careers Development Programme is continuous recognition over the 2years with salary progression of up to a maximum 5% every 6 months.

You will also benefit from a Company Car or Car Allowance reflecting Morgan Sindall Benefit Grade. You will also be entitled to Private Health Care Cover with Life Assurance up to 4 times your basic salary.

To add to our amazing package, upon completion of a recognised academic or professional qualification/membership, you may be entitled to a monetary award of £500!

What you will need.

  • You’ll need a minimum of the following:-
  • Enthusiasm to make a difference in communities
  • Ability to problem solve and think on your feet
  • Someone that enjoys starting a conversation and creates networks for themselves
  • Someone that can multitask, Influence others
  • Someone that likes variety and no two days the same
  • Microsoft competent
  • 2 A Levels grade c or above or BTEC National Diploma DMM
  • Applicants must hold 4 GCSEs grade 4 or above (previously 5 GCSEs AC) including Maths and English or equivalent.

In addition to formal learning, you will be able to

  • Help us promote our thriving industry with your enthusiasm!
  • Eagerness to develop with an ability to travel across the North West of England (Greater Manchester, Liverpool City Region, Lancashire, Cheshire and North Wales) where your on the-job learning will be!
  • Understand social value and predict our clients requirements
