About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and strategic Business and Programme Support Officer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will play an essential part in enabling and supporting the successful delivery of the South East ADASS regional work programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing independent, proactive, and confidential business and programme support to the regional team.
- Planning, managing, and delivering small-scale projects that contribute to regional objectives.
- Collaborating closely with the Programme Director, other regional team members and Directors of Adult Social Services and their staff in our 18 member councils.
- Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Documenting and reporting on the work programme for the region.
- Coordinating, planning, and supporting the execution of events, including meetings, seminars, and briefings.

- As a Business and Programme Support Officer, you will:
- Provide self-directed, proactive and confidential professional business and programme support.
- Be responsible for planning and managing small projects.
- Work in close partnership with the Programme Director and other regional team members and with Directors of Adult Social Services.
- Build and maintain positive, strong, and effective relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Document the work programme for the region
- Coordinate, plan and assist in the development and staging of a variety of events, including meetings, seminars and briefings.

About you
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively and independently under pressure. You will demonstrate excellent IT skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach.
- Proven experience in a professional administrative environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a customer-centric attitude.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and empathy.
- Calm, efficient, and resourceful, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
