Competency Development Manager – London

We have an opportunity in our Operations Team to become a Competency Development Manager based at our Kings Cross location on our Great Northern route.

You will be reporting to the Lead Competency Manager – Driver. Your role will be to develop and maintain a high performing, competent and customer focused team of Train Crew through effective application of all competence and policy requirements.

The role:

  • To ensure we have a competent and customer focused team of drivers through effective application of all GTR competence and policy requirements, this should be proactive and risk-based to deliver continuous improvements in safety, risk management and train performance outputs.
  • Responsible for responding as first line on call response for operating incidents involving TLGN.
  • To undertake initial incident investigations, gather appropriate evidence and provide reports and documentation in accordance with Company Procedures and Rail Group Standards.
