Overview
As an Emergency Service Officer you will make a difference by enabling residents to remain living independently in their own homes.
You will coordinate an rapid response service ensuring the efficient provision of emergency and urgent personal care welfare visits are made to South Gloucestershire residents, enabling them to remain living independently in their own homes.
What will you be doing?
- You will review, assess, and implement emergency personal care packages for new and existing service users. Promoting independence and delivering a high standard of personalised care.
- You will co-ordinate an immediate response to Telecare and Carer’s emergencies and you will be required to use you specialist knowledge, skills and experience to respond to complex situations
- You will need to assess service users with complex needs in emergency situations out of hours, and compile and implement short term care packages to be reviewed by the appropriate day time services. If un-met needs are identified during assessments or reviews with a service user, you will decide on the most appropriate response.
- You will also be responsible for ensuring that all responders in your team have a Care Certificate where necessary and that all are up to date with supervisions, team meetings and training.
This is an out-of-hours post that works on the following four week rolling rota:
Monday – Thursday: 16.30 – 22.15
Friday: 16.00 – 22.00
Saturday, Sundays & Bank holidays: 8.00 – 15.00 or 15.00 – 22.15
Saturday, Sundays & Bank holidays: 8.00 – 15.00 or 15.00 – 22.15
