As Finance Manager supporting our Digital & Technology (D&T) function, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy behind our tech investments, leading a high-performing team, and partnering with senior business partners to deliver value through insight, governance, and collaboration.
This role sits within the Record to Report function and leads the Manchester D&T finance team. You’ll be the key finance contact for Manchester D&T, ensuring financials are accurately reflected, transformation projects are supported, and priorities are aligned across Finance and Digital & Technology.

What You’ll Be Doing
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Lead and develop a team of 5+ finance professionals, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and high-quality delivery.
- Own the financial operations, ensuring the large volume of tasks and queries are managed effectively, within a timely resolution, and aligned to the monthly timetable, which will be key to successful delivery
- Partner closely with D&T Finance (London) and Finance Operations, controllership for financial activities for D&T, working collaboratively across all business areas, driving clear financial data into actionable insights that support decision-making and drive performance.
- Manage conflicting priorities across multiple business partners, balancing strategic goals with operational needs while maintaining financial control.
- Support transformation initiatives, ensuring financial governance and standardised processes are embedded across key projects and programmes.
- Champion automation and process optimisation, using systems and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience, ideally in tech or transformation environments
- Proven leadership in managing and developing finance teams with a focus on coaching and performance.
- Strong business partnering and communication skills, able to influence senior business partners and navigate complexity.
- Skilled in managing conflicting priorities and driving alignment in fast-paced, cross-functional settings.
- Control-focused with a continuous improvement approach, and experience collaborating with outsourced providers and digital teams.
