Bring your creative vision and strategic thinking to M&S Food as our Head of Creative – Packaging. In this role, you’ll energise and empower a creative team to deliver show stopping packaging that stands out on shelf and connects with millions of customers. You’ll set the creative direction and drive our packaging strategy, defining who we are, how we show up, and how we keep evolving to stay ahead.
You’ll collaborate with colleagues across the business, sharing ideas and influencing decisions in a fast-paced environment where there’s always more to achieve and plenty of opportunity ahead. We’re looking for someone who’s grown from hands-on design into creative leadership, with experience in agency or account management and leading creative teams. You’ll thrive on pace, always looking for ways to do things better, and see every project as a chance to push boundaries and unlock new possibilities.

What you’ll do
- Lead and inspire our in-house Design team, setting the vision and direction for packaging across our own brand and sub-brands.
- Build a collaborative culture, engaging the business in the design process and ensuring our packaging reflects our brand ambition.
- Drive the packaging strategy, making sure every design ties back to our brand identity and stands out in the market.
- Deliver creative, show stopping packaging solutions, always with a keen eye for detail and a focus on innovation.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners, continuously improving how we work and what we deliver.
Who you are
- An experienced creative leader, confident managing and developing design teams in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong collaborator who builds positive relationships across teams and with external partners.
- Strategic, with a proven ability to translate vision into action and deliver results that support business goals.
- Passionate about design, with a track record in packaging, brand, or account leadership, and always curious about new trends and ways of working.
- Calm under pressure, commercially aware, and ready to embrace new challenges with energy and optimism.
