We’re currently looking for a personable Receptionist to join our team here at Searcys at The Gherkin who will perform and assist in the smooth running of the reception desk and ensure all of Searcys standards and client requirements are adhered to at all times.

Job Type: Full Time

Hourly Rate: up to £13.00ph

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet all venue guests on entering the building and ensure they are made to feel welcome.
  • Ensure that all check-in and check-out procedures are adhered to, with regards to registration and reservations.
  • Take reservations and ensure that all information is correct.
  • Upsell and promote venue facilities whenever possible.
  • Ensure that all messages are recorded and distributed swiftly and charged accordingly.
  • Check ID of all persons entering the venue as required.
  • Keep the reception area clean and tidy at all times.
  • Communicate with the management and team if any assistance is needed.
  • Give any feedback received from customers to the appropriate manager.
  • Host busy restaurant and bar with professionalism and smile.
  • Proven track record in delivering outstanding 5-star service within either a corporate or hospitality environment.
  • Previous relevant reception/host experience is welcome but not essential
  • Organisational skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Demonstrate a keen level of pro-activity.
  • Ideally, experience dealing with ad-hoc administration tasks.
  • Problem-solving skills.
