Job Description

Portico have an outstanding opportunity available for a Receptionist to join our team based at the City offices of a global consultancy firm.

As the first point of contact for visitors and employees, you will deliver an exceptional front-of-house experience, ensuring every interaction is welcoming, professional, and memorable. Working within a high-performing team, you will manage guest arrivals, meeting room coordination, client enquiries, and provide seamless support across reception and facilities services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome clients and visitors with warmth and professionalism.
  • Manage meeting room bookings and ensure rooms are prepared to a high standard.
  • Escort guests throughout the building and provide personalised service, including refreshments.
  • Handle telephone calls, emails, and enquiries efficiently and professionally.
  • Gather client feedback and support continuous service improvement.
  • Support facilities functions, including scanning, archiving, desk audits, and contractor management.
  • Assist with projects, digitalisation initiatives, and lobby hosting duties.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, taking ownership of requests through to resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the client experience and add value to the service.

Hours: 40 hours per week, with rotating shifts between 7am-7pm, from Monday to Friday
Salary: £34,352 per annum
 



Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a corporate reception, hospitality, or premium customer service environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Immaculate personal presentation. 
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach. 
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. 
  • Confident working in a fast-paced environment with high service expectations. 
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think creatively to solve problems.
