Job overview
The post-holder will provide advice on research governance requirements and study costs. They will assist the Research Governance Lead with study setup, engaging with sponsors, clinicians, support departments and managers to ensure that research projects are approved and initiated in a timely manner.
The post-holder will provide appropriate support to the research team and assist with all allocated research governance tasks required to meet the needs of the team.
The post-holder will be based at Two Bridges, Chertsey but will be expected to attend events and meetings across the Trust’s catchment area and at the clinical trial collaborators sites.
Main duties of the job
The role is responsible for coordinating the governance, regulatory, and administrative processes for clinical research studies, ensuring compliance with HRA guidance, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and UK Clinical Trials Regulations. It supports study setup, approvals, costing, data management, reporting, and regulatory compliance while maintaining accurate research records and assisting with audits and inspections. The post holder also provides administrative support to the research team, including meeting coordination, financial tracking, database management, and communication with researchers, clinical teams, and external stakeholders.
