Salary: £34,434-£36,363 pro rata (actual salary £17,238 – £18,168)
Hours: 21 hours per week

Semley CE VA Primary School, is vibrant and welcoming, set in a beautiful village near Shaftesbury on the Dorset / Wiltshire border, and graded as ‘good’ by Ofsted (May 2023). We are very proud of our children who live out the school values whilst enjoying learning and challenging themselves both inside and outside the classroom.
All about the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Semley School as a School Business Manager. The role is varied and challenging; you will be responsible for managing the school’s non teaching functions, including finance, HR, facilities management and GDPR. We are seeking an individual who has the ability to communicate well, form good relationships, show initiative, be enthusiastic and is willing to learn.

School experience is advantageous, but recent and sound knowledge of finance, plus excellent organisational skills will be considered. Full training and development opportunities are provided.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and LA Support Accountant to manage the school budget and to provide clear and transparent monitoring for the Governing Body, who are an integral part of our school.
The work pattern is flexible but must include Wednesday afternoons and Fridays (some flexibility may be given for the right candidate).
41 weeks of the year, to include term time, TD days and 2 weeks in the school holidays worked flexibly / to attend Governor meetings
