We are currently recruiting for 2 Leaving Care Personal Advisers on a fixed term basis:

 

1 x 18 months based in Gloucester

1 x 8 months based in Stroud

About the role

You will join us as a Leaving Care Personal Adviser and will work with a caseload of young people developing plans enabling young people to transition into adulthood.   

You will be expected to work alongside Social Workers to ensure a smooth and supported transition when they come to leave care. Your core focus will be to work with young people, enabling them to develop independence skills. You will provide care leavers with practical and emotional support.

You will be committed to working in a multi-agency manner, thus providing quality services and outcomes for young people, as they transition into adulthood and independent living. You will be a skilled communicator enabling you to build up effective working relationships with a variety of young people from different backgrounds. The role may also at times involve supporting and leading group work sessions and encouraging and developing the participation of young people in shaping the services we deliver.

 

 

About you

We are looking for someone with experience of working with children, young people, families, and communities to deliver a wide range of interventions.

 

Experience of working with multi-agency assessments and plans is also a must. 

 

A full driving licence and access to a car is essential.
