Responsibilities

Operations

  • To assist in controlling all food and culinary related purchases via our nominated suppliers in line with their ordering procedures.
  • Work with suppliers to deliver the Wimbledon Championships from a forecasting and quality perspective supporting the Culinary Purchasing Manager in the control of costs during event to ensure budgets/targets are achieved.
  • Support the Culinary team with quality checks of all products on delivery of goods and correct and sufficient follow up with Executive Head Chef and suppliers as necessary.
  • Work alongside the Sous Chefs and Lead Chefs to ensure all ordering is in line with business levels.
  • Build and develop working relationships with all current suppliers and customers
  • Ensure a full and current stock sheet/list is updated monthly with all relevant prices and any new products
  • Stock holding is maintained to the targeted level and also highlighted to the Executive Head Chef if it exceeds this level.
  • Liaise with the sales team in all requests for product cost via the senior kitchen team.
  • Liaise with the location account to ensure all relevant company policies and requirements are met.
  • To comply with all Compass and Levy Health and safety documents and legislation.
  • To attend and comply with any training for Health and Safety, Food Safety etc.

 

Person Specification

  • 3 to 5 Years experience in a demanding food environment
  • Always strives to deliver above and beyond the expectations set by management, customer and client 
  • Has a proven desire for the delivery of the highest quality of service and food offer obtainable 
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines in a calm, effective and sustainable manner
  • Has the drive to ensure that all results are attained in the most professional and honest manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead others, work as part of a team
  • Accountability for results – Passionate about results and delivery of food and customer service
  • Excel and PC literate to intermediate level
  • Ability to demonstrate good organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Food Hygiene Certificate to level 2 /3
  • Ambitious high performer with excess enthusiasm, energy and resilience
  • Commercial outlook with P&L understanding
