SEND Teacher – Secondary

Salary/Rate: £27,491 – £37,974/annum

Monday-Friday, Term Time only. Permanent role. Full or part-time working will be considered.

Based at Ingfield Manor School, Billingshurst, RH14 9AX

Ingfield Manor School is a day and weekly boarding school for 60 pupils and students from age 3-19 with neuro-motor impairments such as cerebral palsy. We are one of the UK’s leading Conductive Education providers. Our school is an exciting and rewarding place to work with excellent resources, including a state-of-the-art multi-sensory room. Full clinical supervision, training and CPD opportunities are ongoing.

We are looking for a qualified teacher (ECT/NQT, MPS or UPS) with experience of teaching students with special educational needs and disabilities who has the creativity and enthusiasm to deliver the best outcomes for our children and young people. We offer staff a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing training to ensure everyone is provided with the best possible start to their employment.


· Plan, deliver and assess engaging, outstanding teaching and learning using a multi-sensory approach

· Be a class tutor, ensuring pastoral needs are met and establishing excellent relationships with parents and carers

· Be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of agreed aims and programmes reflecting the Conductive Education ethos of the school, as a member of a transdisciplinary team

· Line manage support staff

· Inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, parents and other professionals

· Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom

· Promote the wider aspirations and values of the school Engage in whole school activities as required by the principal.

· Adhere to all working protocols as agreed and published in the school handbook

· Plan and lead children in off-site enrichment activities

· Ensure you uphold all safeguarding procedures, including engaging in annual safeguarding training, including induction training
